We are currently hiring for Full-Time and Part-Time Direct Support Professional Positions.
Provide support and care to Individuals in residential and community settings. Responsible for care and delivery of services relevant to each Individual’s needs. Completion of required documentation and effective implementation of goals as specified in Individual’s PCP.

- Assisting with the general operation and maintenance of the home, such as cleaning and minor repair
- Providing advocacy for one resident and his/her family
- Supervising residents and protecting them from hazards
- ·Participating in recreational activities, which may include getting in swimming pool with residents
- Monitoring and assisting residents’ home living and personal care activities (i.e. dressing, bathing, grooming, etc.), and providing guidance and training towards self-sufficiency
- Providing support services such as food preparation, laundry, and transportation, but only to the extent that residents are unable to perform these activities for themselves
- The primary responsibilities of this position are not limited to just this list. Responsibilities may include any other duties temporarily or permanently assigned to this position.
Physical Tasks Relating to the Essential Functions of the Job:
Housekeeping, cooking, communicating in English, using the telephone, writing, walking up to two miles, running rapidly a short distance, lifting up to 20 pounds, stooping, driving, becoming certified in CPR & First Aid, Medication Administration, and adequate visual acuity to read standard type and visually supervise residents. Audio acuity able to hear fire alarms, etc.
Mental Tasks Relating to the Essential Functions of the Job:
Problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication, reading and comprehensive skills, accurate mathematical abilities (i.e add, subtract, multiply, and divide), interpersonal skills, decision making skills, and organizational skills.
Position Requirements
- High school degree/GED required
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to work in a group home, home-like settings
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
- Must maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirements
- Medication Administration as required by state/program requirements
- At least one year of work experience with persons with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Must successfully complete all required training (i.e. CPR & First Aid, EBPI, Medication Administration, etc.)
